BALAYAGE
One of the hottest new trends in hair coloring, balayage is a free-form hair painting technique from France and it is frequently used in the top hair salons in Boston and New York. The color is applied by meticulously painting selected strands to the desired color. And, since the color is diffused at the roots and gradually concentrated at the shaft and ends, the results are natural-looking highlights. Therefore, there is no harsh regrowth line. Retouching the color needs only to be done every 3 to 6 months, rather than 8 to 12 weeks for traditional foils.

OMBRÉ
Ombré is another exciting development in hair color. This technique maintains darker roots while the ends are colored gradually lighter. The effect is a youthful, sun-kissed look. Ombré works well for brunettes, redheads and blondes to yield either a subtle lightening effect or a dramatic one. And, since the roots are kept darker, retouch isn’t required for 3 to 6 months.

SINGLE PROCESS
A single process is a one-dimensional color that results in a uniform color from roots to ends. We suggest a single process when you are looking for a high-fashion color or when covering grey. We offer three options for single process: semi-permanent, demi-permanent and permanent. The choice depends on the frequency of retouching, the degree of lightness desired or the amount of grey present. We will consult with you on the pros and cons of each and recommend the most suitable product according to your needs. We will work with your natural coloring, and help you decide on a color that complements your eyes and complexion.

FOIL HIGHLIGHTS
There are infinite options with highlighting. You can obtain very fine weaves of color that brighten your natural hair shade without looking “colored” or chunky pieces that offer a more dramatic look. Foil highlights are particularly great for women who would like to add more richness and definition to their single process. We’ll consult with you to determine the look you want, and recommend the best method and colors to achieve it.

DOUBLE PROCESS
A double process usually consists of a “lift and tone”. This procedure is recommended for brunettes who want to transform into a blonde. Hair is pre-lightened then the desired blonde shade is achieved with toner. Since it may take several hours or applications to achieve your desired shade, we recommend this procedure for someone who is very comfortable with and committed to being a blonde.
